FLOWERING MAPLE PINK
ABUTILON HYBRID \"KIPS MAUVE\"
Native to South America.
A rapid growing evergreen viny shrub.
This unusual Abution is the result of many years of breeding , and look what I got.
Yellow Pink flower with darker pink veins in the petals .
The flower hangs down like a lantern however unlike most abutilon flowers this one opens up to measure 2 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inch deep.
A Rather stunning display , appearing like so many pink parasols hanging and moving with the breeze.
Humming birds love it .
A very versatile plant I have trained it into a Patio tree , large bush , and a small border hedge .
Plant in partial shade ,in moist well drained soil.
Abutilons have a rangy growth pattern that can be avoided by pinching out the branch tips often, this encourages a more compact form and forces the production of more flowers.
In cold climates it can be used as a container plant indoors in the winter ; and out on the Patio in the summer .
